Target’s GO International Dresses

March 17, 2011

Thanks to Shannon’s reminder on Sunday, I visited my local Target store on Monday afternoon to find a large selection of the GO International dresses in stock. Of course I’d already been perusing online, but I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try them on because I ended up buying one in extra-small and one large.

Now, I normally wear medium, but these sizes are all over the place!

Here are the two I ended up buying:

Left: Proenza Schouler (large) ; Right: Thakoon (extra small)

These dresses make me even more excited for highs in the 80s this weekend! I didn’t buy any GO International dresses the first time around, so I’m excited to have some now. Plus, I was always envious of Shannon‘s Thakoon dress – I’m happy to have one of my own since I can’t borrow her clothes on a regular basis anymore.

Here are the other dresses I tried on:

Top left: Erin Fetherston — I thought this dress was cute, kind of whimsical. Size ran a bit small.

Top right: Alice Temperley — Oddly enough, this dress fit just fine in the hips, but it was too small from the waist up. I thought it had a strange fit, and ran just a little small.

Bottom left: Zac Posen — This is the dress I came closest to buying. I thought it would make a perfect birthday dress (like Katy’s cupcake dress), but I couldn’t think of many other occasions in which I’d wear it. Very flattering fit though.

Bottom right: Zac Posen — This was the most true-to-size dress I tried on, and it felt quality. However, once I had it on, it felt like it belonged in the Sound of Music.

Which Target GO International dresses have you bought or placed on your wish list?

That pink/purple tropical print dress is stunning, and I’m glad you got it! I remember seeing it in a magazine five years ago and thinking it was so pretty.

I really want to get the Thakoon blue and white print dress (it has 3/4 sleeves), but I think I’ll have to try it on before I buy. The sizing on the Go lines have been hit or miss for me.
